Thanks friendgr ! Do you know if there are any wiring diagrams available online? As the main power supply goes through the trunk, perhaps I'd be able to access the plate light wiring from there.

I bought a set of US rear side marker lights a couple of weeks ago. The part itself can be exchanged very easily - just don't break off the Clips ;-) Hooking them up to a power supply though proves difficult as the EU specs uses different wiring from the US spec. Does anybody have any good ideas...
