I actually almost did buy a V6 but made the mistake of driving a GT. I still have my 67 Firebird vert to keep me happy and the wife would kill me if I bought another car I don’t drive in the winter(vette]. Between the bird and a couple of motorcycles, I have more than enough to fuel my need for...
I really didn’t lose that much on the trade. I paid 29.5K and got 25K for the GT on the trade and got almost 7K off the Malibu sticker. I thought about getting the extended warranty on the GT, but for me it’s not the fact that it’s paid for, it’s that they have to rip half the car apart to fix...
Just a update on the Malibu. i’ve Got 5k miles on it now and couldn’t be happier. It doesn’t squeek, creek, rattle, moan or groan. With 19’s and 40 series tires it rides firm and still no rattles. The AC works as it should with no temperature fluctuations and no oily film on the inside of the...
“All these manufacturers are putting out high horsepower cars for entry level money, but it comes at a significant cost in quality and durability“.
So, so true. Never again. No regrets trading my 17 GT.
I drove the Mustang through a Wisconsin winter on all seasons and had no issues so you should be good. I would love to go upscale a little but just don’t have that kind of cash. Lexus always seems to be a the top of the reliability lists.
At age 62 I’ve lost my tolerance for issues with cars. If it’s not reliable, down the road it goes. I still have my old trusty 67 Firebird and two motorcycles if I feel the need for speed, won’t miss the Mustang at all.
Honda and Toyota were high on my list but couldn’t find anything I liked. The mustang had more issues minor or otherwise in the 9 months I owned than my jap cars did in 10yrs and 100K plus miles.Squeeks, ceeeks and rattles drive me insane and the mustang had plenty. If the Malibu is junk it will...
I thought I would give you guys a good laugh. This is what I traded the Mustang for. 2018 Malibu with redline pkg. I checked the “buy muscle car” off of my bucket list and I’m over it, so back to a grandpa car. I think my riding mower has more horsepower than this but hopefully it will be a good...
You are absolutely correct, every company has their issues. I’ve been buying Honda, Toyota, Scion for a long time and have very lucky I guess with those brands. I never had any of them back to the dealer to fix issues, just normal maintenance (which I do myself).
If you look at the sales...
