  1. Engine decel rattle

Hi , it still makes the rattle. Got 81,xxx miles on it now.
  2. 3.55 torsen rear. Does it need XL-3 Fluid Friction Modifier Additive

Hey everyone, As the post title states, does my 2018 with A10 trans and 3.55 torsen rear need friction modifier additive when changing the gear oil? I am changing the rear diff oil this weekend and got 2 quarts of MOTORCRAFT 75W-85 Hypoid Gear oil and MOTORCRAFT XL3 (4oz bottle). Does the...
  3. 2018 Mustang GT Headlights not as bright anymore

@ZeroTX Maybe I need to clean-up the lens. I have never buffed the lens in all of 7 years. I will report back once I do that and see if the brightness is back to what I think it should be. Maybe I got used to the brightness and looking at newer cars with brighter lights has skewed by...
  4. 2018 Mustang GT Headlights not as bright anymore

Hey everyone, I have a 2018 GT premium and I bought it new in Jan of 2018. Car has about 70,000 miles. Question, is this normal for the light output to dim over time? I have a 2017 Honda Civic Touring with LED headlamps and it has 117,000 miles and it much brighter than my GT, and does not seem...
  5. CEL P0420 Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1 and FORScan Logs

Hey everyone, Need advice on what is possibly wrong with my 2018 GT (69,xxx miles). A week ago the CEL came on and I scanned it using FORScan and it showed code P0420. I reset it just to see if it pops up again and within a few days of driving maybe 60-80 miles the CEL came on today. I...
  6. How's your oil consumption in a stock GT?

I put in 10 qts and like you said it is in the middle of the two dots. Then I fill with half quart when it reaches the bottom half of the hash marks on the dip stick. This last oil change was in first week of July and the car had 67,240 miles on it. As of today I am at 69,580 and have added half...
  7. How's your oil consumption in a stock GT?

Mine burns a quart of oil every 2000 miles. Not driven hard or anything. It used to burn half a quart every 2000 miles but consumption has went up over time. Car is touching 70k miles in almost 7 years of ownership.
  8. Steering Wheel Shimmy 45mph-65mph (most obvious around 55mph)

No, not a performance pack. It is a GT premium with 20 inch factory rims. I will have to get my lower control arms checked as well. At this point I get the feeling it is something in the front of the car causing this shimmy. It could be the front hubs, as I am starting to hear a more than...
  9. Steering Wheel Shimmy 45mph-65mph (most obvious around 55mph)

Thanks for the update. Good news, your shimmy reduced. Bad news, its still there. Good luck with replacing your lower control arms. Hoping this will get you 100% of the way there. I am honestly sick of this issue because I have tried a few things and nothing has changed. I do not enjoy...
  10. Steering Wheel Shimmy 45mph-65mph (most obvious around 55mph)

Hey, just checking to see if you had the chance to install the driveshaft and did it get rid of the shimmy? Thanks
  11. Steering Wheel Shimmy 45mph-65mph (most obvious around 55mph)

I see what you mean. Hopefully a new driveshaft will resolve your issue!
  12. Steering Wheel Shimmy 45mph-65mph (most obvious around 55mph)

I was told by Ford service that the reason for my shimmy was due to tires, bent rims, and lastly because of my front rotors. Around 37,000 miles I had to replace all 4 tires which I did with Michelin Pilot AS3+. No real change in the shimmy. During this process, I asked the shop to check for...
