Even the regular non R version of the Goodyears is a great option in 295/30 and 305/30. Dimensions wise very close to the R Cup2s as a bonus. Right now I am running Conti's ECFs (295/30, 315/30) and I am liking them a lot if ultimate grip is not your goal.
I am sporting an S54 in one of my cars and Vodoo in the 350. I guess I love 'unreliable' engines (the S54 powered car is 24 years old is still on the original motor and bearings :), I am pretty sure the Voodoo will do the same).

I agree 100% about the BWs. The 5 rules with the drama and the 4 is a better size (if you like smaller cars). Both handle amazing for their size and weight. I wish the 4 got NA v8 from the Camaro though. If I were in the market for a commuter I would pick one of those.
