  1. Dangerous driving - tips for a newbie to muscle cars

I’ve been fortunate to have owned several fast mustangs including an 04 cobra and a ā€˜65 mustang with a 331 stroker/5 speed - both higher power to weight ratio than my Mach 1. I thought I knew how to drive - never crashed (knock on wood) and felt comfortable controlling and correcting a fish...
  2. 2nd recall on my 23.

Thanks for sharing this! I originally thought the reversed polarity was on the car itself - it being on the calibration equipment makes me feel a bit better. Ford's approach to update the software is surely more cost effective than calibrating the cars again.
  3. 2nd recall on my 23.

I’m shocked this made it past QA. Assuming they made a change in the 2022-2023 models, wouldn’t that change require a new QA regression (test all related components)? The phrase ā€œwhen attempting to steerā€ makes me think you can’t steer if the primary sensor fails, and the ā€œcrashā€ may be more...
  4. FordPass Update

I’ve been thinking about deleting the app and removing the telematics fuse - I am cautious after what GM did. Being able to see oil life and add my own records was one of the (albeit smaller) reasons to keep this system. I’ll be watching closely to see if they add it back.
  5. Mach 1 Puddle Light pre order

I still have mine installed. They haven’t gotten dimmer, but they were not bright to begin with. I’d say mine started off being 50% dimmer than stock. No issues otherwise.
  6. Mach 1 - Fog light install

Thank you for this write up. I love how you kept as many OEM pieces as you did.
  7. Getting CarPlay to work?

In my 2016 Ecoboost I had to get an upgraded USB port in the center console.
  8. The Bad Noise

Are your windows tinted? I had a similar sound due to a poor installation. They had left excess tint below the end of the glass which made a plastic tic sound when driving.
  9. Mach 1 Puddle Light pre order

Just placed an order! These look very cool.
  10. Ford Performance oil catch can

My buddy had the same catch can from his old GT. I dremeled the tab off, and zip tied the longer hose to the wire harness (where it crosses perpendicularly). I certainly don't mind saving a few bucks! It is very stable
  11. Chime in: “If I could redo Track Attack again I would…..”

I'm down. There is a FB group called Cars&Coffee Tri-Cities that meets regularly.
  12. Chime in: “If I could redo Track Attack again I would…..”

That’s where I live! Decided I’m going to drive home that night. Also thanks for the Tail of the Dragon suggestions up above. I’ll definitely check those out in the future!
  13. 3D Printed Oil Filler Funnel

I’m interested for the Mach 1. This looks great
  14. Is a Mach 1 the right decision for me? (Answered!)

I'm a tech guy too (programming, etc.) I picked the Mach 1 because I can appreciate all of the extra effort that went into its design, cooling, chassis stiffing, Tremec, etc. There is a chance my car won't ever see a track, although I do have plenty of curvy roads nearby. I get the same, if not...
  15. Chime in: “If I could redo Track Attack again I would…..”

I’m signed up for 6/15-16. I can’t wait. I am driving my Mach 1 there, I live 180 miles away. I am in decent shape - am I going to have enough energy to drive home that night or should I stay in town one more night?
