Yet another thread, I know.. I've been having an occasional 3rd gear grind at higher RPM. Now there is a squeak or creak when I press the clutch in and hold it for a second or when I shift. Has anyone experienced this? Is this related to the shift fork issue? I don't know if it's just a bad...
It's like one person doesn't have any issues and just goes after everyone and finds excuses as to why other people are having problems. Like I said before regarding the shift forks. These cars should be able to be driven hard and not break after 600 miles.
Why do so many people care about how aggressive Alex shifted? No one will say anything if he shows Ford the video. He did nothing wrong.
I granny shift and am pretty sure have issues with third gear. What's the excuse for me?
Wow, people ragging on Alex for being a little aggressive with his shifts. Like it's his fault the shift fork broke or something. I guess everyone is supposed to granny shift their cars because if you don't you'll break it.
I have a late build 2018 and I have the low 2k RPM rattle. I don't think that is a big deal and hopefully people are over exaggerating.
Regarding the shift forks, I have had 4 or 5 grinds when shifting to third. Not including severe notchiness while shifting as well. All done under low load...
Regarding the statement that the forks werent built inefficiently strong, I haven't banged gears and I granny shift almost every day. I have had two third gear grinds in the past week.
My 18 GT premium MT82, 401A, PP1, magneride, active exhaust, safe and smart, shaker pro resets to normal every start up. No big deal since I actually have it set to quiet start and I switch to mymode once I get on the highways.

The way I interpret it is since the Stock spring is 185lbs, it will take more effort to press the pedal and also release it steadily. Dropping to a 35lb spring makes it so that you have much more...
I basically learned on the 2011 GT I had. I think it would be easier to learn on a mustang than a car with much less torque.
A lot of people including myself have replaced the stock clutch pedal spring with the 35lb aftermarket option. I think it might help you a bit.
400 miles on the car. 17-18mpg and I don't expect anything much higher. Mostly highway miles rowing through gears and the occasional 80+ mph in 6th gear.
