I don't think this is far off. I don't think the base GT350 will touch a 5th Gen Z/28. I also don't think that an R will be a driver's race with a 991 GT3 on a track, like Ford has stated was the case at Grattan.
Bench racing is all we can do at this point, but looking at Figure 8 and...
For people saying that drivetrain losses aren't possible, yadda yadda yadda, my car made 441rwhp on a dynojet more than a year ago. Porsche rates it (not SAE rated AFAIK) at 475 hp at the flywheel. Dynos are a tuning tool and drivetrain losses are not constant. Any number of factors can...
Wow the Camaro team came to play, for real! From the looks of things so far and from my point of view, Ford does not make a Mustang trim to compete with the SS from an overall performance standpoint. If I'm looking for a Mustang/Camaro, I am not looking for refinement or space, like has been...
Excellent car! Makes me contemplate trying to get one even more than before.
Looking at these track times, though, makes me doubt it'll touch a 991 GT3 like Ford has claimed it did at Grattan. I guess time will tell for sure though...
A modern dct or 8 speed will absolutely gain significant advantage starting from rest to 60 or 100mph. I think most cars offered in both a manual and dct/fast auto drop 2-3 tenths in runs to 60. The remain difference between a GT and SS would seem to lie with the (presumed) reduction in weight...
It looks like arguing with him is useless... None of the brakes on the cars being discussed in this thread would withstand abuse with a really good tire up front. And the gas tank... Please  Pill, look what I track and talk to me about weight distribution.
Been lurking for quite some time, figured it was about time to create a profile...
So much misinformation and so much benchracing
First off, acceleration from rest has so much more to do with power application than total system power. As for saying that a camaro has no chance to do...
