Update, the latest beta released five days ago have been pretty stable, no issues so far, the public version should be close.

They released a hotfix today to fix the sound issue, pretty good so far.

The experience is pretty decent for the first beta, way way way smoother than the smartlink solution, only problem now is there is no sound output for the voice prompts or alerts.

Finally, after months of waiting, we have Waze on CarPlay. This is Waze beta so I won't be able to share much information, but it's coming to the AppStore soon.

yeah, very excited about carplay, waiting for my invitation from waze to join testflight so I can use it with ios 12 beta. :D

BTW, I got selected for Waze Beta, so I'll keep everyone posted. :D

Well, you can't say it's a bug, I've seen multiple infotainment systems that will not pause when hitting mute button.

That doesn't count as moving parts... moving parts means it will move on it's own, i.e. motor of some kind. Anything will be a moving part if you say the micro switch is a moving part.

There are no moving parts in the keyfob, and it might seem crazy, but the days where you knock on some electronics to get it working again after it failing are long gone. The only possible reason why banging an electronic fixes it is there are multiple PCB boards connected together via a plug or...

I really doubt it will fit since the shape and size of the grille has changed for 2018.

I actually find it perfectly fine and predictable, it will stay on until you pull the handbrake or move forward for a certain distance (didn't measure), never had it come up or disappear randomly.
