Hey guys. So this is the final post about my knock sensors issues, after thinking I fixed the issue, of course it came back the next day when I went to drive the car hard again.
Turns out it was the tune. I switched to Wengerd, and the difference is unreal. The car is smoother, no more...
Either reposition that clamp or shorten the bolt by 10mm. That should do the trick
Shaved off the bolt as much as I could ( pretty much flush with the nut) took it out and data logged. Car ripped and got no positive knock on a 10 min HARD drive. Not getting ahead of myself but it seems that was...
I found one spot that could likely be causing false knock on the headers, you can tell from the picture itās definitely rubbing on it. Anyone have any remedies and has delt with this? Drivers side right below the ac line
Will do š so the drivers side pcv is basically ādeletedā so itās just the breather? I believe the ESS kit came with a plug for the silicone intake where I currently have the catch can going to Iāll have to check the shelf in the garage
Iām running that breather on the passenger side, catch can on drivers side. 1k miles and 100+ pulls and the catch can hasnāt seen a drop of oil yetš
Yeah man.. I might have to go that route. I love Lund and they killed it on the N/A tune (not saying whatās going on is there fault) but if I canāt find a mechanical issue within the next few weeks Iāll be trying a different tuner to see if that changes anything. Process of elimination trying to...
They do. Iām gonna try it on the next sunny day I get. Iāll let you know if that makes a difference or not. Thank you for all the replies and ideas by the wayš much appreciated
Thatās a great idea I have not done the re learn procedures. And yes I have a twin disk McLeod rst, I also installed that about a year before the blower
Iāll be sure to keep that in mind thank you.
No misfires, the car runs and feels great even when the sensors go off and it pulls timing, itās smooth, soon as I let off and go wot again the car pulls hard like it should.
The knock always starts during a shift. Sometimes the sensors read knock...
