Mr. Olly with his good-boy carrot. It's his carrot!
  2. DFB's Gardening Thread

At the moment, we are deep into winter with frosty mornings and a cold chill setting in mid-afternoons. But, it's predicted to be an early spring this year, which means grass will be growing again soon. I don't do a lot of mowing in winter, so the machinery gets a little rest from the hard slog...

P&S Release Vacuum Aid As if the detailing world needed another product category, P&S has gone and created one anyway — the vacuum aid. I know, do we really need such a product? My answer to that is another question: who here hates vacuuming carpet as much as I do? Probably my least favourite...

I love the window trim, but the rest is a little.................excessive.

    Someone likes their chrome! 😳
  6. What's In DFB's Cabinet?

Yeah, I've done that in past. At the moment, he is so boisterous and has no concept of containing his energy. Yesterday I opened the door of the Ranger and before I knew it he had leapt into passenger seat. I need him to grow up a little before I have him around while I work.

I wish I could have him out in the garage and driveway with me, but I just don't have the confidence to allow him to hang without going walkabout. I have previous trauma in that department.

Mr. Olly with his good-boy bone, which isn't keen on sharing.

I created the logo online, then went to a local printing company with the artwork and sizing I wanted. They then mocked up a couple of layouts using the red and blue pantone colours I matched to the bucket lids. I had two of each decal printed, so that inflated the total price but still...

Got the Ranger and Mustang washed this week. Tyres cleaned with Brake Buster, wheels and body with Carpro Reset. On the Ranger, after the wash I decided to apply Reload 2.0 to the paint and plastic trims. I feel like this product gets a bad wrap, but the latest formula is easier to apply and...

Be careful with Hex lights. They mostly don't provide the sort of light you need for detailing, even though you see them in a lot of professional workshops. The light dispersion isn't great, and they can be super fatiguing due to the reflections they create and the harshness of the output. They...
  12. What's In DFB's Cabinet?

Ooooh, now that's exciting! I'm sitting here looking at those pics and imagining what I'd do with that space. Swisstrax would be a no brainer, making for a clean, dry surface to work on. Then a wall mount pressure washer and bucket filler, perhaps even a boom pole. Lighting, a power reel...

Slowly but surely, Olly has become ball crazy. Faych would chase a ball occasionally, but he was always scent and food motivated, a ball was a distraction. My first cocker Hafey was 1000% ball crazy though, it didn't matter where the ball went, he was going after it. Circa mid 1980's...

I do my best for him, although that doesn't stop people telling me what I should be doing with him (neighbours etc). He's a ball of energy, strong, very energetic and excited to greet people. But he's still a baby and everything is exciting for him. There has to be a point where you just let...

Before he came home with us, the breeder had mentioned on several occasions that she thought he was going to be a big lad. That mostly centred around his paws being bigger than the rest of the litter. His father has a big tongue as well, I just wish he developed the blue roan coat too. I...
