  1. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

I ordered a crank position sensor from rock auto, and it came yesterday. The bag had the right part number on it, but the part was wrong and now they want to charge me $8.45 to send it back. The return policy even says free returns if they are at fault. It seems that a lot of people think that...
  2. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

It is a brand-new 2018 manifold. I did a smoke test and had no leaks, and the system held 5 LBS of pressure for several minutes. The codes are stacked and repeat and the only thing that will do cylinder specific misfire codes and stack them is the crank sensor. The car runs great and I am not...
  3. Battery went out yesterday 3 months after purchase, settings.

I get 5 to 6 years from my Motor craft batteries here in Minnesota and we get both hot and cold weather; this week it has been 100 degrees 3 times. I just replaced the battery in my plow truck this spring, and it was 7 years old. I took the two-year-old battery out of my pickup truck and put it...
  4. Post Your Rare Pics of Parts No One Has

Other parts that are one of a kind, just not for Mustangs, but for Harley Davidsons. Left to right. Top left are oil pump plugs. Center four are toe shifters pegs. lower pic is an oil pump plug removal tool. Far right is a transmission dip stick. The tool is made of steel; toe shifters are brass...
  5. Post Your Rare Pics of Parts No One Has

Thanks, If you own 15-17 parts are interchangeable for the most part but 2018 and up is a different story. The oil filler extension tube changed in 2018. The threads that go into the valve cover on the 2018 won't fit the 2015 cover. I cut the threads off a 2015 and bored out the inside, I used...
  6. Post Your Rare Pics of Parts No One Has

I haven't bought anything that would qualify for your post. But when I couldn't buy an engine cover for my 2015 GT Mustang (with a 2018 intake manifold) I modified the 2015 engine cover to fit the 2018 manifold. A nobody makes a purge valve mounting bracket, so I had to make my own. I made a...
  7. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

I ordered a Crank Position Sensor in the hope that it will stop the false misfire codes I get.
  8. Drilled rotors wanted

Nice touch BEERCHAMP. They look great!
  9. Drilled rotors wanted

IUC if you know so much about brakes you should know when to put the brakes on a conversation and respect other people's choices.
  10. Drilled rotors wanted

I have never had any problems with the brakes even at high speeds. I love the ceramics. You have to do a proper break in with them and they work great.
  11. Drilled rotors wanted

I put drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads on my 2007 Lincoln MKZ and my 2011 3.7 Mustang and they are great brakes. The cost was $450.00 for the set.
  12. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

    That is a BIG YES!
  13. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Sure, I made a T shaped aluminum plug for the spray cleaner line This could even be a wood dowel 7/16 will work just tapper the end so you can start it in the rubber tube, and it is turned to .400 dia. X .500 long with a .085 dia. hole through the center and .750 X .187 thick to butt up to the...
  14. Built a rotor balancer

I did tires for a guy, (he bought them from Tire Rack) and I was doing the mount and balance and it was requiring 6 to 8 OZs on each tire (unheard of) I rotated the tires 90 degrees ad tried again and it was the same thing. I took the tires off the rims and balanced just the rims; each rim was...
  15. Built a rotor balancer

I have found that if you use a dial indicator on the rotors you will find that the rotor just needs to be clocked to eliminate the vibration. Mount the rotors with three of the lug nuts tighten and with the indicator at the very outside edge of the rotor lightly rotate and watch the indicator...
