So now the allocation is the problem. The dealer I went to is indeed small, and probably wasn't selling a lot of Mustangs in the past. Guess realistically if I want to get a car before next Jan is to either buy a stock or cancel this order and redo at a larger dealer that has allocation.
I...
That's some bullcrap they were pulling! The way I see it, if I don't get my 'Stang, they aint getting a dime!
I didn't pay them anything to place my order. Now looks like I need to fight harder to get it built.
I know some May, June, July orders are still waiting.. I feel bad for everyone..
I just can't sit here waiting without doing anything, even if it means to reoder at a bigger dealership or get a higher priority code.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
Alright... I'll go have a serious conversation with my dealer... If anything, I can walk to another dealer and place an order with priority 10.
Thanks for the help!
So basically my dealer didn't give me a priority code that's high enough... Had they assigned a 10 to mine, it would have been built... Is that a fair conclusion?
On the order summary it says retail, though... I'm confused...
I contacted a few dealers and see if anyone can find me a stock car like the one I ordered... Fingers crossed...
Congrats!
I sold my old car a couple of weeks after ordering the Mustang, coz my dealer said 8 - 12 weeks... Now I have to carpool with my wife everyday till Jan... Not fun...
Ordered on 8/26, no VIN yet.
Dealer estimates next Jan.... Frustrated...
Should I just cancel and reorder? Looks like some people on the site did so and got theirs already...
