Not having seen the inside of the DW810, there is often sufficient space to put a venturi nipple on either side of the outlet and still be upstream of the check valve. With the venturi connection downstream line pressure goes to zero at KO.
This is what DW uses on the brushed pumps that offer...
Again, right on.
TunerZ have zero concern about cost, difficulty, longevity, etc. All they care about is that the car makes power. They want overkill with zero responsibility.
In general, at VaporWorx we have found that AN6 is usually pretty solid up to 800FWHP and AN8 to 1200FWHP. There is...
Agreed. There is a metric shit-ton of logic on the back side (ECM and FPDM) that we cannot see or change, all in name of hopefully keeping Tunerz from wrecking things.
Two items that will make FPDM's unhappy is a short to ground on the negative pump output or a sustained insufficient or...
Agreed. When properly implemented voltage boosting can be an elegant solution. Unfortunately most go for the sledge hammer approach that leads to a host of problems. Many FSCM's will not accept more than 17v before it will MIL code.
Your BL option 2 may be dependent on the level of monitoring...
Right on. So-called Tunerz think that they know better than the really smart folks that designed and implemented these systems. Real calibrators know better. I very much encourage the use of the FSCM whenever possible.
I've been very fortunate to deal with some GM folks who understand these...
The FSCM is positive pulse along with kit options as detailed in an earlier post.
Brushless is becoming more common on new OE cars. When retrofitting a brushless pump into a brushed pump FSCM equipped car the FSCM functions go away. They will not talk to each other.
As far as a new thread...
Correct on the DI, but I'd much rather not have 200+psi on the lines. I've had customers swear there was no fuel pressure/car won't start, but after taking a very close look at the engine compartment mounted fuel pressure gauge the needle was pegged on the opposite side of the stop pin @ 150psi...
That may, or may not, work. Though fuel will backfeed there are still restrictions that will create pressure. In a CTS-V2 fuel pump if one of the stock pumps stops running the full-speed remaining pump will still provide 30psi. Testing is needed to know for sure.
If the cracking pressure of the...
Right. Many aftermarket fuel companies delete the primary jet pump since it takes fuel do drive them. Fuel to drive the jet pumps means less fuel to the engine. Sizing for the primary reservoir jet pumps (many have two just for the main reservoir) must be enough to keep the reservoir full at...
Thanks svo. It would not make reasonable sense to pulse the negative side but weirder things are out there, so it's best to check.
For the KPM1500 (It's a great part) the DualX kit like this will work well: Ally Pulse Width Modulation Controller Kit - DualX Positive or Negative – Aeromotive...
