I can't wait to see these get some bolt-ons and see how much it 'wakes the ecobeast'.
Replace the stock suitcase exhaust with some light catbacks, put on a less restrictive CAI, and add in a tune and we may be looking at 370hp and 405tq at the crank (and reaching those numbers much sooner than...
I would just look at the delta. 34 rwhp and 46 rwtq from a tune. Put that onto whatever stock figures you believe. For instance, assuming the drivetrain loss on 310hp and 320tq gives us stock of 263 rwhp and 272 rwtq. Add in the delta and you get 297 rwhp and 318 rwtq. Calculating that back up...
Just so others know. There's several 'military' credit unions that give really really great rates for auto loans. It may require good credit but I was able to get 1.25% financing on a USED car like a couple years ago from Pentagon Federal Credit Union for example. I'm no where near their actual...
Yeah i mentioned this in another thread where this is linked. I feel like everyone is just skipping right over this obvious fact... 231 rwhp indicates around 275hp at the crank... a far cry from 310 hp... In the other thread the tuner was talking about how there seemed to be a drop in power...
I'm pretty darn disappointed in the EB Vert pricing and will likely be buying an '11/'12 vert someone else is selling to buy the new '15 models and save and then upgrade in a couple years and get the GT Vert.
I'm down with that. What's interesting with these motors now that i've seen dyno figures on somewhat similar new engine offerings from bmw/vw after being tuned out is that usually it appears like their can be alot more torque massaged out than horsepower.
Where does it specifically say when the convertibles coming out. I know everyone says Job 2 but I thought that was happening in Q4. March sounds like they almost might as well just call it the next model year...
That's not true. While it's not offered on the GT it will be available on the EB Convertible. The only thing that isn't included is the rear sway bar and heavy duty front springs. Btw, I could understand the rear sway bar not fitting but the front springs?
I hear you.
By the way, I corrected my numbers up above. I still think the Premium trim is quite a hefty price to pay. I'll end up purchasing mid/late next year so hopefully I can cash in on a discount.
Frankly, i'm a bit disappointed.
1. They've done everything they can to make you get the "Premium" trim (or Ecoboost) by making other options completely unavailable or purposefully undesirable.
2. They 'rounded up' the pricing on the Ecoboost "Premium" trim by an additional $800...
I think i've just decided i'm going to wait until next Summer/Fall 2015 to pick up a brand new discounted or perhaps ever so slightly used 2015. Tough decisions... but between the possibility of moving from West Coast to East Coast (save on taxes/transport) and seeing these prices I think i'd be...
Welp, looks like the difference between the regular Ecoboost & regular GT is ~$7000.
Sooo... take it as the GT Premium is $36100. Take off $7000 and that equals
Ecoboost Premium at $29100.
Let's do the math another way...
Difference between GT premium and GT regular is ~$3200. Add that...
