Just read the post. Being that it has an aftermarket clutch I’m like 95% sure it’s the pilot bearing. I was chasing the issue for over 2 years. Put a new pilot bearing in and it went away. I wish I found out sooner because I think I ended up prematurely wore out the synchros. Sucks to go thru...
Getting the new (to me) diff ready for Kelltrac Big Bertha kit. Seals and bearings will be done later today.
if anybody ever does this, I recommend getting at least two drill bit sizes between 1/2” and the 5/8” it is supplied with.
I know the question wasn’t directed to me but I reached out to Klaus when I was shopping for a wing. They offer a lot of custom items not on their site. If you reach out to them, they will make the wing. And uprights to match your trunk.
I’m going to take a wild guess and say that’s Nick Smither’s car. Driver in the Mustang Cup and Challenge series. Don’t think he is a member on here but is on TMO.
For the sake of the conversation if they came out with a track only model with a bigger fuel cell, fixed seat, etc ( similar to FP350S or GT Mark IV)…
would you reconsider ?
lol I was being facetious and look at what that got me? A serious and unfortunate answer.
But I get it. That’s a lot of pennies to not even complete one session at your home track.
Working on a few things. Wanted to redesign my wing upright so I did that and it came out better than expected.
brushed the aluminum and got it powdercoated in Tint Clear II powder from Prismatic Powders. Car is dirty but not washing it until new engine lol.
