Just order one from the ebay link in this thread and fix it yourself...takes less than 20 minutes to swap out.

Mine is doing the same and it is heat related. Took it in and was told it is a bad sensor and quoted 2400 to repair. MIne will turn off after you cool the car interior down but only after a restart.

No I used it on the negative side. If you ask in that thread I linked Levittown can give you the part number for the positive terminal hopefully.

Just a clarification.. I used a wrong word. It was the battery post in the battery that was loose. You could move it around with your hand and it was spilling acid when I removed it.

I had the exact same thing happen. Upon inspection the negative battery terminal was loose in the battery case and the battery was offgassing onto the terminal. I replaced the battery and ordered a new connector from Levitown Ford and all is good now.

Any way to order just a negative battery terminal clamp? Can't seem to find a part number. I don't need the whole cable. Just the clamp.

Just checked mine. Negative terminal covered with corrosion. One of those things that with the cover it's out of sight and just doesn't cross my mind as much to check it when I check the oil. Gonna need to get a new clamp ordered. Cleaned the old one up as best I could but with all the nooks...
