Is there a ride difference between the magnaride and the conventional setups?
I test drove a magnaride car and when in track mode it seemed stiffer. Is there any kinD of settings for track in the non-magnaride?

TIA

It is different. The magneride dampers make continuous and extremely fast changes to road inputs, and in Track mode or in sport damper mode, will be nominally quite a bit stiffer.

hmmm, I'm guessing the non-mmagnaride suspension is not adjustable.
I have read about MCS and Ohlins, What other coilover options do we have?

Nevermind, I am reading about others as I write this.

FYI very high end and $$$ dampers such as MCS, Ohlins, Penskis, and the top level Koni's really need very high end drivers and the equivalent of race engineers to optimize them for specific tracks and conditions. For most mortals single adjustable Konis are more than complicated enough. :)

Regarding PP1 MagneRide in normal drive mode the ride comfort and control over bumps, dips, etc. are both very good at low and at highway speeds even on hard riding Bridgestone RE-71R tires. A very high end top level SCCA multi-time (12 national championships so far) drove my PP1 GT with MagneRide car at a recent SCCA Pro Solo autocross and was very happy with the MagneRide performance in Track mode. I suspect that the top level drivers might prefer shocks they can adjust themselves so that they can fine tune the handling for specific conditions but in general the Ford engineers and test drivers apparently did a very good job. He did suggest a bigger front anti-roll bar to tame autocross speed oversteer.

Does anyone know if the 2018 gtpp1 non-magnaride suspension is the same as the 2015-17 gtpp suspension?

Do you have this model? If so, how does it handle?

Here is a little take off, for grasping magneride:

Personally, it is worth every penny and more. No matter what you intend to do with your car.

Saw something on an American Muscle that said the bearings were beefed up too. Due to constant adjustment forces?

Yes, because they can firm/stiffen up with quit amount of force.

There are better setups for competition but for a well rounded daily/ weekend racer, you won't find anything easier to use or better than the factory Magneride

I have the 2015 gt pp...was wondering if the 2018 non magnaride same.
My understanding is that the pp shocks might have been improved for 18. No other pp suspension changes other than the Magneride option and the beefed up hubs/bearings specific to Magneride. I had a 15 pp and now have an 18 with Magneride.

One of the rear springs is reverse wound just like the GT 350's with magneride. I forget which one. I don't know about the rates but the chief engineer specifically said in an interview that they did NOT change the "steel" (springs and bars) setup for magneride cars.

Guys,
I did pick up a 2018 PP1 non-magneride. It's surprisingly easy to drive. The body roll that i have experienced in the past is almost non-existent which makes me happy.
Plus my son learned to drive a manual on the way home. :)
