Yep, Autotrader. Your bait and switch headquarters. Every single good deal listed on that site by a dealership while I was shopping proved to be a bait ad. I gave up

At 62k I would've jumped on it but 69 is stretching the budget too far. Same for me, I get tired of it too. The really shitty part is in the comments they put 4k under MSRP which is very misleading, don't think that autopopulates

This one was different though, it wasn't an autolist at MSRP, it was a typed description noting the discount and the price.

Yep, all they would say is it is being sold for 69k. Usually I get, it was a mistake and we are fixing it but they didn't even say that much.

This is how it goes. Dealer:" If you are interested in the vehicle come on down and we can discuss the price". Then they call you incessantly and when you say the ad says it's $4K below what you want for the car, they say "well, that is a misprint, come on down and we'll talk". You hang up and they continue calling. 4 weeks later the ad still reads exactly the same. It is a bait and switch tactic and annoying as hell. They know exactly what they are doing.

Someone with better people skills and more determination than me might have done better but I'm sick of talking to dealers under the same guise so I didn't bother haggling with them about it

Understood about haggling with some of these dealers and feel much the same as you unless I was very interested.

Having said that month/quarter end is approaching quickly and would suggest that anyone who is sincerely interested in one of these 2 Base R models should offer MSRP and hopefully it would be a go?

I believe that these cars were built a few months ago and with this dealership carrying the costs of these 2 cars ever since the window stickers were issued which was probably back in March and suggest that with it being month end, Base R's in Florida and having two of them on their lot this dealership would be wise to at least let one go at MSRP.
