Thanks for the video. But ugh... I'm okay with the side scoops, but the rear deck lid with the tackey red "California Special" lettering just ruins it for me. Sticks out much more in the video than the promo photos. I don't know why they didn't just keep the 16-17 GT/CS all encompassing faux gas cap instead.

If they had to do the cursive lettering, I wish they would have done it on the side like the '68 had it. I agree with you though, I wish they would have just put the wording in the gas cap like before.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it supposed to have a digital instrument cluster?

I still like it for the front end and the interior.

I could probably swap out the rear with the FRPP blank decklid, or debadge the script.

Other idea is remove the side scoops, but we do not know if they put peg holes this time? Some previous GT/CS had just tape, but some had guide holes.

the script now is more modern, not sure if the classic wording and locations would look very good on a S550 along with white stripes. Retro lettering seems to still work on a new Challenger more.

Thanks for waking me up :) So far I had to go the dealers site to get closer photos, looks confirmed that the lower bumper matches the pattern and texture of the top grill. I can kinda see reflections, so I think it is safe to say the lower grill is gloss like the top?

the build and price puts back the honey comb lower grill unlike what we saw in the official video.

Well found this one which does confirm it is gloss and it atleast has 2 rows unlike the 15-17 single row ACC lower grill. Boy the Convertible in video brings the price up high plus B&O play to 54K with destination charges. The one I plan to order is just 48555 MSRP including delivery charge, I added security package and safe smart plus the other options like that convertible, minus the 3.55 and B&O. I have xplan so I can get it lower plus any incentives upon delivery.

Excellent walk around video of this new 2019CS. Thank you for posting it. There was also the High Country Special at one time. Colorado dealerships ,sold it.

That one has one, it is a 401A package which you can order on top of a GT/CS

The High Country Logo was nice, but might look better more subtle without any wording, just the Mustang above the mountain outline on the badge on a modern take. and of course a decal not a sheet metal fastened on badge.

Not sure if Aspen Gold would look as good for a S550, columbine might since it is like a lighter Grabber Blue or timberline as a grabber green?

I think they should come out with a "Mexican Special" complete with a mexican fiesta horn sound and a Speedy Gonzalez logo.

Well I put my order in for it, the main selling point for me is the gloss lower/upper grill with matching pattern with tribar pony side logo, the micro suede red stitching interior which is still my favorite since the 16-17 GT/CS and I do like the GT/CS darker textured dash panel vs the brighter silver trim on a generic GT premium. Only thing I do not care for is decklid design or scoops, but I wanted the other stuff which I really desired. I could always remove the scoops, stripes, and/or debadge or replace the entire decklid with a blank FRPP one down the road.

you seem to like all the bits that were on the 16 CS, why not buy a 2nd hand one :headbang:

I want and love the digital dash (test drove with it already), the A10 and the upgraded 5.0 and slight bonus is factory warranty.

But not only that I wanted ACC on my car and when back in 2016/2017 no dealers were adding that or missing some other major item on the car or wrong color... I would have had to special order one back in 16/17 to get my options anyway.

I got exactly what I wanted, used, by surfing the web and being patient, with an extended warranty and saved 10k to boot.
