Im wondering, since ms109 is oxynated, and with the same conditions on the same boosted setup, equal timing, does one perform better then the other?

I would guess E85 since its cooling properties help as well.

Good thread man i was wondering the same thing, imo I don't think e85 will be much better then ms109 especially in the winter months, maybe a little more power in the summer months.

I run VP C85. 85 requires a fuel system and about the same price when ordered in. So is the upgraded fuel system cost worth the extra ponies?

E85 will make more power, but obviously use more fuel to do so. E85 has an oxygen content of like 35%, Ms109 is 9%?

E85 on a forced induction application will make more than any gasoline based fuel with A2A intercooler, the cooling properties the E85 is helping. once you start adding W2A, Q16 etc start closing the gap.

Yea looking at it that way, if it makes 15-20hp more, dont think it will make a considerable difference, and I would order it so I dont see a big benefit to go C85 then

god damn man, I knew corn was substantially better than 93. But I didn't think it outshined the race fuels as well.
I can only hope it actually comes to my area at some point :/

I feel for ya. I get shitty 91 pump gas but I can get e85...so that makes up for it. It's easy to make up the price of a fuel system paying for e85 vs race gas.

ms109 is a nice fuel, if you don't want to pay to add a fuel system,

e85, even pump kicks it's ass IMO, more cylinder cooling effect, and about 1/5 the price

for the cost of the fuel, you could buy one of our level 1 fuel systems, and the setup pay for itself in fuel savings over a year, in addition, you can then run full tilt all the time

i wouldn't be looking at the power gains on the dyno, the strip is where you will see the biggest gain. E85 performs much better than what the dyni figures suggest, especially when conditions aren't at 100%
