So it is officially dead?

for me the revisions that were going to be made, were not deal breakers; physical dimension being shortened, some software popups and engrish, i would still purchase with those issues.

^ He's not wrong. Seems like the relationship with the manufacturer went bad because of their refusal to address some of the things they agreed they would and no sense in continuing on with a larger order if that was the case.

I don't know any respectable people who would want their name or business associated with a subpar product, and if the manufacturer wasn't willing to move forward with those small changes, that speaks volumes about what their support would be like moving forward.

Are there no decent 8" units available? Sounds like there aren't, but thought I would double check. Thinking about the 10" but I like my volume control and the price gets pretty steep.

There aren't, just the TomTop type ones now really.

If you were seriously considering upgrading to an entirely aftermarket 8" android head unit, then finding a Sync 3 head unit from a salvage vehicle and reprogramming it for your vehicle shouldn't pose too much of a technical challenge for you.

If you only knew half the shit he does, you'd know it wouldn't be a problem for him. Main thing is getting the time and being motivated to actually do it, and the money of course.

Every once in awhile the idea pops in my head so I can get the drive modes or just the flip toggles, but I like the customizability right now.
