Normally, I always do my own car work and the bolt-ons, but after seeing the install on the long tube headers, I'm not sure I want to get on my back on jack stands to do this one since it looks like a pain, especially on the passenger side. Not to mention the different knuckles and tools I would still need to grab to get to some of the studs. I could pay $20/hr to rent a lift, but even then, I'm not sure how long I'll need after checking things step by step.

Any shops in the North Austin or Austin area that are familiar with header installs on 15-17 Mustang GT and are fair on labor pricing?

Hey Zelek,

I've heard good things about High PSI Performance in Harker Heights.

http://www.highpsiperformance.com

Pro Modular Performance specializes in Mustangs. Check them out.
I've heard good and also some bad about these guys.

Another is Texas Speed in Georgetown....they are more of an LS specialist though. They fabricate their own cams and headers.

Thanks for the recommendations. I appreciate it! Texas Speed I'm familiar with from my LS days. Glad they are so close by now instead of being out in west Texas. I may check and see if they can install these headers since they do fabricate their own for our cars.

You can drive up to Atlanta and I got a whole slate of capable folks who'd do it :)

Got them installed by Justin and Will at High PSI Performance in Harker Heights. Great shop, and great car guys. Highly recommend them. Very clean install. ARH headers require removing a lot of studs because of the primaries, but other than that, they fit great once they are on.

One of my O2 sensors was cross threaded and they brought the stock manifold to show me before they tried to remove it with a lot of WD-40 and a strong pull with a wrench. Damnit Ford. :frusty: They were able to get me a new OEM O2 sensor in a few hours and I was on my way!

A+. I will be using these guys in the future if I do any more major installs. They know their stuff. Justin also tunes locally using HPTuners or SCT and they have an in house dyno as well.

Always good to know about another quality shop! I had mixed results going to Pro Modular Performance with a previous mustang.
