I've had heated/Cooled sets in at least one of my cars for almost 8-years now and just used the cooling in my Lincoln today. For me, they are definitely worth it as far as comfort in the heat is concerned, but the Bullitt will be a second car so I'm more interested in the Recaros than the heating/cooling. My past experience has been that I'm fine with that type of seat for 4-6 hour days but they become less comfortable after around 6 hours of driving a day, especially if you are just super-slabbing it. But then that's really not the vehicle for that, far more fun in the twisties and more comfortable there as well.I wouldn't let the cooling portion of the heated/cooled seats be a factor in anyone's decision since only half the seats coll anyway. (upper portion doesn't cool worth a damn)
I used to work there in the mid-70's and did those roads as well. All fun. Used to do the Whistler run a lot in my Fiat 124 Spider that was well modified and had a great time against Mini Cooper S' etc. Road -raced a Suzuki GS750 at the old Westwood track back then.Live in Richmond...
Escorts saved my bacon more than once, but they aren't a guarantee. Got nailed on the old road from Vancouver to Prince George a few times by an RCMP airplane. :-(... picked up an Escort Max 360...
