I have 2017, non R
It is parked outside, but under a permanent car port.
Does not get direct rain or sun, snow etc.
I have been using the included car cover which works
fine except, when its windy, the interior of the cover
is a little rough on the paint. I am getting some scuff
marks at high points like roofline, and fender arches.

I buffed out the ones on the rear fender. It took a while.
Kind of a pain in the neck.

Does anyone know a "made to fit" outdoor cover for 17 gt350
with quilted liner, and will that stop or minimize the scuffing.

TY

Bill

PS I did a "search" and I am prob dumber than I look but not a lot
came up.

Coverking AutoBody Armor. Anything else is just fooling around. "Made-to-fit"? At close to $500, these are "custom-fit".

Just ordered a Covercraft WeatherShield HP to use while car is parked at work (car is never driven on rainy days) I had good experience with covercraft covers, once I get the cover in next week I will be able to confirm quality.

I agree the OEM cover is way to harsh, I currently use a Covercraft Duststop cover underneath the OEM cover, the DustStop cover is so soft It feels like you are touching sand paper when touching the OEM cover.

The only thing I am worried about is no felt or quilted liner.
Is that not nec or any advantage??

Is that microfiber material really going to be scuff free??

I have a carport which obviously is outside and we have four seasons of weather here in southeast Kansas and I only used the oem one on my blue 16 and now my white 17 and never showed any kind of wear on the paint of either car. Always kept both cars clean and ran a California Duster over them before putting cover on. Yes the cover feels a bit harsh but that is the black stripes and is on the outside of the cover. I'm quite happy with the results of my oem cover.

I am pretty sure most of it happens when its windy.
It just kind of buffets against the paint.
I have used it two winters now. I def get scuffing w mine.

You are probably right. My carport is covered down one side and the other side is close to the side of the house and the front is closed. So I don't get much wind, some but not much movement of cover.

Update as promised, I received my Covercraft WeatherShield HP and was disappointed to find.. that is it the same as the OEM cover. ugh..

Apparently my due to my lack of research, I found out that the OEM cover is WheatherShield HP the only difference is the racing stripes and the GT350 logo.

So considering how rough the cover feels to me, I'm getting a DustStop cover for it instead. I love the graphics of the OEM cover just wished it was softer.

Do yourself a favor and treat your car with Cquartz. Twice. Then cover it with whatever cover you want, and use waterless wash if you want. Zero scratches or marks for at least 2 years. But also do the lights and the shinny plastic in the rear (covered that 3 times, now it's almost impossible to scratch).

Agree....I actually did a little write up the process in the detailing section. Love the stuff.
