LOL, my Fender ate one of my Strut nuts just last week. It took me an afternoon of driving around looking for someplace that sold Nylock nuts with no luck to finally go back home and spend 5 minutes pulling the inner fender liner and finding the Nut. :0)

Good times.

I pulled the liner and could not find this medium size screwdriver...guess I'll try a magnet next. This is the first car I've owned with this awesome 'feature'.

I dropped an entire hood strut bracket in there once.

Magnet got nothing so either it's gone or I'll have to remove the wheel/tire to remove the whole liner...

These black holes that swallow tools and suck them to oblivion may likely account for all the missing dark matter in the universe.
Just multiply number of S550 sold times 2 black holes per stang and its like 48.99 gazillion sockets and screw drivers. Neil deGrasse Tyoson says the Stang black holes can be forced to eject swallowed items by doing counter clockwise reverse burnouts (clockwise if in southern hemisphere so you Aussies pay attention oi oi oi ).

I am now looking forward to the resolution on this issue. Fingers crossed you find it soon...

Thanks, lost tool recovered. It was way down near the rocker.
If I had used a plastic panel tool instead of a screwdriver I might have just let it be...lesson learned.

I dropped the firewall cap to my sound tube delete kit down there. Is it okay to keep it exposed or should I pull the liner and go searching?

It's easy enough to pull the liner out. But my dealer's parts department gave me a firewall cap for free when I did the DIY delete.

No doubt on of Ford's better ideas. I lost some battery push pins. It never occurred to me that the fender was NOT connected to the inside fire wall. Imagine my surprise when I watched them roll into the black void. Someone should come up with some foam or something to fill in that space. What is the purpose of leaving that void open? To save weight, make the car more aerodynamic?

Fodder for threads like this? Yeah, a filler would be nice.
