Hi guys, just checking by if anyone had any experience with this engine oil ?

https://lnengineering.com/products/...0-synthetic-racing-oil-case-of-12-quarts.html

Note that it says that it is specifically engineered for coyote engines, but being so high viscosity, I'm not sure if it is actually good for our engines? Note that I've always used 5w-20 mobil 1, but was curious about this.

What are you trying to accomplish by running it?

The standard motorcraft semi synthetic will allow these engines to run a long...long time. Anything else is just going to pull money out of your wallet.

Sounds like mostly advertising to me. 5w50 is what you would use if your doing more track use. If you just want more protection a 30 would be fine long as it meets the Ford specs. 20's to me always just seem to light unless its winter. More so if you do "spirited" driving.

I'd LOVE to see a tear down of a few 5.0's at 50k and 100K with 20, 30 and 50 used through their life just to see wear difference. Probably will never see that though. I think someone did it with taxi's however.

Thanks for your responses, I was asking since I'm running boost, just wanted to make sure that my engine's life is extended as much as possible considering the lubrication of these engines.

Note that the winter factor on the viscosity of the oils are not that important to me since my weather is the same all year, living in the tropics.....

I run FR50 on track days in summer time. Car holds great oil pressure and oil temps stayed in normal range even in 96 deg air temp and 130deg track temps.

The same can be said for MC 5w20. There is oil out there that's cheaper and at least equal if not better than it. So in this case, the only thing you get out of running MC 5w20 over say a Penzoil Platinum 5w20 is a lighter wallet :frusty:
