Ford Battery Management???

I was in another forum (not car related) and I was told that I can only get the FoMoCo battery as a replacement because of the Ford battery management system in the car. Is this the case? That sounds weird. Anyway, if that is not the case, which is a high quality battery I can get for the S550 GT? What are you guys/gals using?

I would use this, many modern cars have battery management and you dont have to use an OEM battery.

Are you in need of a replacement battery in a 2016?

If so, Warranty it - you’ll get a free battery from Ford... then if you want an aftermarket or other as a replacement over that stock battery - sell off your “new/free” battery to offset the out of pocket costs needed for the aftermarket.

Interstate used to be good. All the shops ive worked at they last about 2 yearsish. Ive had alot of luck with exide. Motorcraft batteries are also good.
