Car is a premium gt auto with 20" factory wheels. 275/40 Nitto 555R on the back (28.7" height) with 3.15 rear gear (effective 2.99 final gear ratio). Only mods on the car is the Gen 3 whipple, 3.625" pulley, latest whipple tune set to Max RPM and Knock Limiting off and steeda "stop-the-hop". Everything else is factory stock (stock exhaust from manifold to muffler) so raceweight is over 4100lbs (I weigh 220lb). DA was around 1600ft.

Only good pass of the night was the first one when I arrived hot - no cooldown:
60' : 1.6649
330': 4.6553
1/8 : 7.0010
MPH: 100.76

My only other pass was 3 hours later with the DA at 2100 and car spun pretty bad so I abandoned the pass. Was a 1.86 60', 7.2386 @ 97.98MPH. If it would have hooked, I think it would have went faster. The engine was cool.

Overall, pretty impressed with the car. With drag wheels, the car should gain 3-4 tenths. The rotational mass on these 20" wheels is horrible.

Those 20's are heavy for sure! These cars are just heavy in general. My car is a vert and I weigh 275. I must be at 4500!

Thats a great pass for what you have.

Thanks - the car went 6.95@102 this past weekend with the addition of baer drag brakes on the front and back.

Congratulations on your 6 second pass. The 20's are heavy for certain but what I would be concerned about is the lack of sidewall. When are you going back out to Northstar? Danny B

Hey Danny - Thanks.

Yeah, a good bias ply 28" slick would go a long way to cushion the launch and hook better. The drag radials are notoriously tough on the drivetrain because they don't yield at all.

Not sure when I'll make it back up to Northstar. Might not make another trip until fall. I've got several biz trips through the summer so it will limit my opportunities.

I'm still playing with the driveshaft to get the vibration in check.

Let me know if you better your time. The 2018s are very impressive! Such a great platform to start with.

Will do Tony. I have a m/t 10-26x15 slicks on 10" dark stars if you would like to give them a try. Skinnys on 17's also. My son Dustin bought a red 18 premium auto yesterday. He is a happy boy. Hope you get your vibration worked out.

Glad to hear Dustin got himself a 2018 auto! I know he was anxious to get back into the scene. I'm sure he's extremely happy.

Thank you for the offer on the wheels. Really kind of you!

I'm still not getting any luck on the vibration. Despite rotating the driveshaft, it's not helping. Above 100mph, the vibration is bad. I've got a brand new factory stock driveshaft on the way to pop in and try next weekend.

I will say the 3.55 gears definitely made a difference. Car feels more stout out of the hole. I'd think they're worth another tenth in the 1/8th over the 3.15s.
