I was black flagged for loose hood on Thursday 6/14/18. Turn worker at start finish noticed the fender edges of the hood were lifting as I passed. Speed was around 145 mph. Top speed was 158 entering the turn 2 braking zone. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?

.. or you cpuld just raise the big adjustable rubber bumpers at the front of the hood a few twists. That usually locks it down a lot better for those long straights.

That didn't do anything for my car, but adding the weatherstripping and some hood vents in place of the useless turn signals tamed that beyotch!

Unfortunately they all do that! Its nerve racking when you see you hood buffeting like that, to say the least.

I searched the forums for an answer, but where do you place the weather stripping? Anyone have a good picture or two showing the placement?

You might also want to run some from the top of the headlights up the side of the fenders to where Ford ended the weatherstripping. Don't know about all years, but on the 16s the side rubber ended about 18" short of the headlights.
