Hey guys,
The manual says that rev matching is for the manual only- that said, I don't see the option in the menu of the car. I suspect it's a misprint and it meant to say rev matching is for the autos only.
Anybody know for sure?

Lol manuals do not have auto rev matching . It’s exclusive to the autos .

Manuals have "no lift shift" but that's different from rev-matching on downshifts. Although, my thought is that if you have the code to do one, doing the other would be trivial.

That’s one thing I was surprised to see not added this year given Chevy has it.

Some manuals do, and the instruction manual says it does but as I said I think it’s a typo.

I can’t seem to get this to work right for some reason.

Interesting. I test drove one yesterday and either it doesn't have rev matching or it was disabled. Rev Match is mentioned as a menu item on page 96 and it says this on page 97 -

Note: The menu options for Performance
Shift Indicator, Launch Control, and Rev
Match are for manual transmissions only

Yes, exactly what I was talking about. However, on my manual transmission car this menu item doesn't exist.

Every manual car has rev matching, it's called using your foot :)

I should have been more specific- automatic rev matching on a manual transmission as per the instruction manual.

and mustangs have never had rev matching except for the autos. the rev match feature is your foot and blipping the throttle which is part of the fun of a 6 speed

I've asked this question before - you're not going to get much love from the purist crowd here :)

I would also love rev-matching as Chevy has implemented, and it's odd that the owners manual states that the 6spd has it, though it's likely a typo.

For me, it's not the fact that my feet can/should do it, but a matter of convenience for a more laid-back manual experience. It's kind of a shame that Ford is ignoring it, as it would be a simple computer programmed feature that could be turned off in the dash settings.

Unfortunately this isn't the case, you need additional sensor hardware in the transmission/shifter to do auto rev matching properly like in GM performance cars.

With the Mustang MT rev matching is a voice activated option for those who aren't able to do it with their foot. Just say "Vroom crackle pop pop" at the entrance of each corner.

I’m not here to argue about whether it’s good or bad, just trying to figure out if the car has it because according to the manual it does.

It seems clear now the manual is misprinted.
