Some people should be driving automatic transmissions. Or at least watch a few youtube videos on how manual transmissions and synchronizers work.

Haven't forced a single shift, and the synchros are still perfect ;).

All of Y'all getting up in arms over the driving style are those that apparently don't understand the changes that were made and the consequences of using a less durable material.

And some people should stop being trolls...

video @ 2:35 looks like a forced shift to me. Maybe if you can briefly describe how the manual transmission synchronizer works I will be persuaded that you didn't force the shift.

I’ve got nothing to prove, I know how I drive, and I know why the damage was caused, was simply seeing if others had suffered the same

My favorite part of the whole thing is everyone going “man you should have got an auto”, when the auto has already had a recall, and I know more broken autos than manuals atm.

What does this entail exactly? Ford replacing the fork with a steel one, or the same aluminium one?

How are the shift forks different from 2017 MY to 2018 MY?

Replacing with aluminum, the steel from 11-17 are different and don’t fit, Ford hasn’t done a revision yet for the 18.

I agree entirely, no clue what they were thinking, but they are paying for it now.

So they added a twin plate clutch but cheaped out with cast aluminum shift forks? All of a sudden my 2017 MT-82 isn’t so bad. Lol
