pypes headers stepped design questions

hey guys im checking out some PYPES HEADERS STEPPED 1-3/4 TO 1-7/8 OFF ROAD FACTORY CONNECT and iv never heard of stepped design. Have any of you guys gotten anything like this ? any input what so ever would be great, thanks!

Yes stepped headers have been used for a while now, they offer the best of both worlds. Small pipe diameter for increased scavenging and velocity while still having a big pipe diameter for all out flow.

It tends to make a bit more torque under the curve than straight 1 7/8s pipes.

Step headers and Tri-Y headers have been around since the 60s. Both were designed for morcmid range.

I run them. Over 750whp, over 600trq.. fit fine.

I had them on my ‘15 and loved them. The smaller primaries makes it slightly easier to install.

i have them. no issues with quality or fitment. supposed to be one of the easier sets to install.

tiny bit raspy but that could be the roush axle backs i have. but im running pypes stepped and catted headers, xpipe, couple bottle resonators after the x pipe then roush axle backs. cold starts are pretty brutal but they only last around 10-15 sec then it quiets down. pretty quiet at idle cant really tell its got an exhaust but as soon as you give it any gas its there. ill try to throw up a video later if i get a chance

Never dyno’d it but I remember telling my wife that it seemed fast before and these took it to another level. Could be the combo off added volume plus the seat of the pants feeling that exaggerated my perceived gains but I’d do it again in a heartbeat without a doubt.
