There we go!
Tiger I want to use the auto trim (chrome) but change the piece under it that has the PRNDS piece. looks like maybe I will have to dremel it...to bad really at those prices I better be careful. here is where I got the idea you can see its a separate part

Ok I see where you are going with this. Your trim ring as we will call it has an extra layer down below for the auto-specific parts, as you have noted. My 2016 manual does not. your chrome trim piece is designed to separate from the lower half, and the lower half clicks in to the console. On the manual car, the chrome trim is plastic welded to a thin plastic adapter, which clicks in to the console. Looks like you have to remove a fixed collar from the auto boot for this kit, are you installing that kit, or just trying to get rid of the PRNDS pieces, while keeping the stock shifter knob? You could probably get that CJPP kit to work with a manual transmissions' shift boot/trim ring assembly, it too has a fixed stem/shift knob just like the automatic that would have to come apart. I don't know if you will be able to make the manual boot/trim ring work with a stock auto shifter however. Does any of this make sense?

If you do go ahead with this, maybe double check which variant of manual boot you want. The link Benny just sent, I think the description mentions "with shelby gt350". Don't they have a slightly different trim color? Not chrome, but a dark bronze or some such?

Just did a search on Levittown's website for shifter boots while loading up a 2017 Mustang GT, notice the descriptions and color callouts.

Keep in mind the online data may not be correct. Best bet is get me a VIN from a vehicle that has the exact boot/bezel you want then I can specify it so it will be 100% correct.

Thanks,
Benny

Do you have a part number for a gloss black "GT" emblem for the rear deck lid?

Here is a Vin number. 1FA6P8TH1J5121622

I tried ordering it from dealer here and they told me is on national back ordered.

I really really need this harness.

Not to butt but I think it should be the same as the 15-17 as the taillight can be bolted straight up between models. So maybe try to salvage one from like a junk yard if new stock can’t be found.
