If engines keep failing, then having a replacement motor might actually increase its value. Messed up, but I could see that happening.
I thought of that too, but for fun I reached out to a lemon law attorney in Texas (car was bought new there) to see what they think since it has been sitting for over 30 days consecutively.

Do they speak with the dealer, or Ford? Asking for a friend :)

Not only testy but can't recognize a little humor either. Suggest you and Tomster carefully read the words I wrote and your response if indeed you wonder who insulted whom and for no purpose. And it has nothing to do with common sense so don't misapply your father's advice. Don't know what your axe to grind is but you seem by many angry posts including responses to others to have one. Before you get too high and mighty also suggest you check out post #61 as others have perused all threads and other forums before you did to get a handle on the numbers. Now, if and only if you really want to, because I don't want you to be offended by my suggestion, grab a beverage and hit your real pool. Nothing more to be said on my part.
Agreed with many of us members very much amused by the contribution of certain members on this forum.

The attitude of some members is way beyond our comprehension!

Not amused Harry. He had no business bringing me into his argument. I originally opted out in your defence, but bringing me into this makes him a douche. Another thread that has run it's course again, I guess.

Tom, let me be very clear.

My comments were not directed towards you in any way as I have the utmost respect for you and will do so going forward.

My sincere apologies for any misunderstanding.

Harry, this has nothing to do with you. My comment was supposed to be directed towards the guy who threw my name out there when I had nothing to do with his problem.

I'm noticing a lot of hostility around here lately and this is the second thread (in very recent time) that has gone to crap in a hand basket resulting in deep divisions and people getting ugly.

Harry, I respect you and consider you a friend. I can see how you took my words and thought it was directed to you. However my contempt was directed towards the guy who grabbed my name and tried to toss me into this debate (gone bad).

Maybe this place is getting stale, but there has been a lot of hostility out there lately. I'm going to go back to minding my business and being part of the readers club.

Thanks Tom and I think that I am going to follow your lead.

Ask for a discount on the price of a new clutch/flywheel and see what they will do for you. If it were my descision, I'd replace the entire clutch and be happy with a new engine and new clutch. If you aren't concerned with your clutch/flywheel wear, have them reinstall the original.

Well, I learned something new today. I thought the engine had to come out the bottom of this thing.

I was thinking the same thing. Looks like a lot of ancilliary parts/components were also removed. Engine/front subframe removal from below is what I would hope for if my engine ever requires replacement.

Maybe a lift was not available.

They could have easily removed it from below with that lift. Either way, I hope they don’t have a pile of fasteners remaining after the reinstall.
Sweet color, BTW.
