My car since I picked it up sounds like it has a mild pete jackson gear drive in it. Low speed it is noticeable whine sound. Have not seen this talked about. Do not remember hearing this on other 18’s I drove? Anybody else. Could be in the motor or trans?

The only time I have seen people mention it in the 10R80 is with the 3.55 gear that you have in the the PP. I am not sure if there is a difference in noise with the 3.55 gear addition with the standard (clutch) LSD and the PP 3.55 in the iron differential with the Torsen.

Thanks for that. The pitch/whine loudest 1000-2500 range and is rpm driven. Does not sound bad to me.

Its the DI. Sounds pretty cool.
These statements don't seem to mesh.

If it were the DI, then manual Mustangs should hear it also correct?

I would not describe DI as whining. Maybe tapping or thumping.

I definitely hear it more with windows open. Yeah, do not know how this is DI? My DI GTI never did this.

My 10R80 PP has a mild whine to it. Compared to my old '11 with the mt82 which sounded like it had a twin screw when it was cold, it's not too noticeable.

It's the tranny. Mine does it too. Just normal mechanical noise. it is a characteristic of the 10R80. My friend's F150 does it too, and he has the 2.7 ECO with 10R80. No worries.

Mine does it, too, with the 10-speed auto and I like the sound.

Seems to be normal, I noticed in on every 10r80 I test drove. I’ve got 1400 miles on mine and it still does it.
