Hi guys I wanted to swap my cloth interior for a leather one. Could I swap in original 2016 leather GT seat covers on my 2017 cloth mustang v6?

Thanks, just want to make sure if they are compatible

Forgot about those... Rear seats on the convertibles are not compatible with fastbacks.

zackmd1 figured I'd tag you in on this because I just found a steal of a deal on some leathers only to come home, go through a few threads, and figure out that they are from a convertible. Is it only the rears that are different or are the fronts different as well?

As far as I know, only the rear seats are different. In fact, only the rear back rests are different. The bottom section of the rear seat should be the same as the fastback.

That definitely makes me feel a bit better about it. One of these upcoming weekends I'll give it a try with the passenger seat then and see how that goes. If the rears don't fit...no sweat because I don't use them!

Thanks for your help Zack.

I made the mistake of picking up some vert takeoffs. They will work but they not either. The tears will not work at all. Rear vert seats don’t fold. Also on the fronts the verts have this plastic guide thing that holds the seatbelt in place and the coupe doesn’t. So then there’s a big where it should be.

I ended up selling them at a huge discount from what I paid to a guy with a vert and getting some coupe ones.

I see what you mean about the plastic guide.

This picture shows them pretty clear and that is a big difference between the two.

Compared to this one for the coupe.

I'll give mine a better look-over tonight to see how that top section really looks before I make a keep/sell decision on it. At least I shouldn't be out too much though.

Most seem to float from $350-600

How's the condition of the covers? Practically new? Also, ease of installation?
Practically new, made my car smell like new again. It was somewhat tough to install it, but follow the guide (IDK where it is on this website, but its here) and you should be able to do it.

Order yourself some hog clips and the tool to install them, as well as the special socket that bolts the front seats.

This is what the seatbelt holder area looks like on what I've got. Is that different than what you guys are rocking?

Based on my coupe pic from before, it definitely has the extra holes that shouldn't be there.

My car originally came with black cloth.

That;s good to know. I's almost impossible to find full leather seat covers anymore. My salesperson didn't bother telling me the standard "leather" seats were leather/vinyl. I should have known, if I has I would have paid the extra for the full leather

EDIT: I googled and "The Parts Farm" only sells engines?
