I don't know too many boosted guys say after 6 month 1 year the power they thought they could live with is too much. Almost everyone gets board with the power and eventually ends up dropping a pulley, putting long tubes, changing cal upping timing with octane. Yup...Six hundo wheel gets tame after a while and room to grow is worth the extra money for a system that can make 550-800 wheel.

I was totally fine with my 600 rwhp 2011 for 3 years. I am simply happy with that much HP. The half shafts might need replacing, but I am not interested in 700 rwhp. This will be my 3rd SC car so it is fine for me. No OPG. A few suspension mods, maybe drag radials and Ford Racing Borla Touring axle backs.

I'll post results after the install and a video too.

I have to agree....... anything over 575-600 RWHP is a bit overkill. Although Carroll Shelby once said on a Funkmaster Flex car show "Is there such a thing as too much horsepower?" That line makes me laugh.

600 is not overkill. How else do you keep up with the vipers, z06s, zl1s and hellcats of the world if you sell yourself so short.

To trap what a stock hellcat or Z06 does in the quarter mile @ full weight you need at least 600-630whp minimum...This is almost 700HP at the crank

I think S550s could trap what a hellcat traps without hitting the 600whp mark. I was out-trapping hellcats at 577whp. They put down ~630 but weight 4500+ with driver. Z06s were 0-3mph above me.

About 2 years ago on a bone stock premium s550 with a paxton kit only mod and 3.6 pulley on pump gas I laid down 620whp and the next day at the strip I was trapping 126 mph.

Yea 126 for me at 575whp. Might have done a touch better had we not been revving it waaay past peak. Hellcats here are 121-124 range. Premium auto as well

Not trying to be a wiseass here, but looking at the kit on the Livernois website, I'm not seeing a heat exchanger being mentioned in the listing. Do they not need them? Unless I'm missing something.

The kit is intercooled. It has a heat exchanger for that fluid.

That's not a bad deal but I wouldn't like the fact that I could t make 800+ with the kit, we all get bored with what we have. Hell im bored with 750 now lol

I'm guessing this is on street tires?

I'm trapping 121-122 in a full bolt on auto GT, and while I haven't dyno'd my car I know I'm not pushing anywhere near 600rwhp  If I had to guess I'd be around 455-460rwhp.

Hellcats on DR's or slicks, to my knowledge, were trapping 125-128.

I can find other vids but this is a good quality example. I can only speak of my track. At other tracks hellcats and I can trap more or less depending on elevation, weather and tracks timing system.

I was doing consistent 11.80 at 122 with my 2011 Roush charged brembo stick with about 600 rwhp on summer tires. It's out of th hole where all the problems are.
Had it down to a science after dozens of runs. The guy in the Hellcat is using DRs and hitting 122. I'm thinking that a 580 rwhp auto is going to be fairly similar to a hellcat. DR vs DR just because of the hellcat's weight. Plus the advantage of an auto trans which I now have. Just before I sold it I raced a Z06 at an 80 roll and at 130 I was several car lengths ahead. I let off and he flew by me. Crazy stuff. But it was in the boonies and the only people that would have been hurt were ourselves.
