Is there any possible way to upgrade the stock bulbs in the US Mustang's fog lights? It's sealed off. I really would like to employ some XML2 Cree LED's but there doesn't seem to be any way to get to the damn bulbs in the fog assembly. Forced to stay with stock bulbs?

Thought about switching to the Euro fogs but they are reflector housings vs the US' projector lens in the fogs.

Do you have them installed on your Pony? Would love some photos if you do. Will look into those tonight.

Plus use bulbs designed for the fogs. I really despise when I pass cars that blind me because they are using bulbs with the wrong output. "OMG LEDs are so cool I will plug them into everything!". Usually going with a new kit like Morimoto will change the whole housing which is an important part of projecting the light.

Ditto. Was driving in PA today and it seems every other car has HID's in reflector housing.

Just looked into the Morimoto fogs and they're exactly what I'm looking for.

Aren't the stock US foglights LED's already? They are a nice white color and plenty bright IMO, why the need to upgrade?

Would like more light output from fogs on the road.

Sorry I never came back to this. The fogs from the factory are aimed like total crap. I thought i needed to upgrade my fogs forever, and thought they weren't aimable, but they are and need it badly.

try aiming them first, you'd be surprised.

Thanks Danielle, I thought they were fixed, never knew there was an adjustment. I'll have to check that out.

After using the Morimoto XB's for some time I'm going back to the stock LED fogs.

The stock fogs put out light at a preferred angle IMO. Gives the car a nice wide multi-lane light output with a sharp cutoff.

They aren't fog lights because they aren't amber or yellow, they are driving lights (clear or white) aimed at the sides of the road so you can keep centered on dark back roads or in limited lighting areas. I know Ford calls them fog lights but the two are completely different in their use and aiming

I was actually surprised when I first got my Mustang and saw the fog lights, these are great fog lights. There are people who buy these fogs so they can retrofit them into other cars. I put Morimotos on a 2014 Camry I had but that was because the fogs on that car used regular bulbs. The other option back then was to get Ford Fusion fogs. Like others have said, try aiming them first.

If I could find some aftermarket fogs that have the same sharp angled cutoff as the stock fogs that would be great. I prefer the light to be spreading across all three lanes at almost a 180 degree angle.

Guard Armour could you post some photos of your fogs light output and beam spread on the road @ night?
