I never considered the cats really, because if I wear the car out just as hard in Drive mode there is no smell.It's just the cats unable to process all that exhaust.

No you can't smell auto clutch. The bands are soaked oil and cooled constantly. You can't smoke an auto clutch and the computer won't certainly let it happen or it will throw a code. Like I said either brakes or exhaust gas.My assumption was the clutches smell, I guess my
