Rather than hijack the other guys thread...

This is my first mustang and I’ve never owned a SC. I’m gonna just put these questions out there!

This is what I have.
2015 Mustang gt (non PP)
6M
3:55 gears
Full exhaust, LT’s no cats!
Lund 93 tune, nGauge
Steeda CAI
Steeda suspensions parts

This is what I want.
Whipple gen 3
132 or 150mm TB
Flight control
OPG’s? I will do these if I can install myself...
3.625 pully
Self installed

I will never track the car or add stickies! I am just a street guy.
I drive the car pretty hard when I do

Question number 1
Anything with my current set up that I should be concerned about?
Q2
Can I get flight control with a 6M?
Q3
Will Lund tune a SC car for me catless?
Q4
Will whipple tune a catless car?
Q5
I have E85 all around me, would it be worth it? I think I would have to relocate my o2 sensors?
Q6
What will I need to install as far as the fuel system?

Just looking for general advice that my help me in the long run.
TIA
Tim

Same as me and I didn't make any drivetrain upgrades either. I have a friend making 800 wheel on stock clutch. Some last some don't.

Question number 1

Very limited OPG failures if you stick with stock damper and stock OPG. If you change damper then change OPG, but stock damper is good with stock OPG. Still good insurance to upgrade OPG.

Q2
Can I get flight control with a 6M?
Yes

Q3
Will Lund tune a SC car for me catless?
I've heard as of recent they stopped tuning catless.

Q4
Will whipple tune a catless car?
No they need carb certification.

Q5
I have E85 all around me, would it be worth it? I think I would have to relocate my o2 sensors?
E85 is worth for sure up to 100 wheel can be had with corn.

Q6
What will I need to install as far as the fuel system?
I would do one of the fuel packages like FORE http://www.foreinnovations.com/category_s/313.htm

Thanks for taking the time to respond in detail.
As far as tuning, why do they care? I’m in Michigan and do not haven emissions. So if this is true I need to find a local guy and my nGauge is useless for tuning?

I can assure you that Lund still tunes catless cars. No worries there!

I just had 2 buddies who had E85 tuned by Lund and one had his done 2 months ago and they did the catless for him. The other did his E85 last month and when he asked for hatless they said no more to him.

Worst case I add high flow cats... not a show stopper.

I’ve been working with Dakota for tuning my twin turbo 2016. I live in WI with no emissions.

It definitely won't be easy putting the power down with the Whipple blowers power and tq, especially pulleying down. Michelin Pilot sports would probably be your best options for a street tire.

I would definitely look at upgrading the oil pump gears and crank sprocket while your at it, the added insurance of protecting your motor is well worth it.

Is it possible what they meant is that they wouldn't tune out the rear O2s/cat monitor? 'Cause I think a lot of the bigger tuners stopped doing that after the EPA went crazy on SCT.

If you’re around, could you answer some questions for me?

Thanks

I run whipples tune and catless... you dont need a special tune... any competent person can make it work with 10$ in parts..

I just got mine revised last month with no cats and E85. No issues.

Oh and +1 to everything Roh92cp said. Solid advice.

As for E85, it’s definitely worth it. I run it 24/7 in my car and it’s amazing. The peace of mind is great too lol

Well... I didn’t wait for Black Friday!
Went with gen 3, stage 2. Oversized heat exchanger, didn’t pulley down, will have Lund tune. Went for the ford blue.
Gotta say, I’m pretty excited! The wife... not so much.
Where is a good place to mount the boost pump?
So many questions
