Is the factory car cover the one with the stripes on it and says Shelby? Is it a good, quality cover? Good, soft, indoor cover? Seems like you see them for sale quite often; any particular reason?

It's a good indoor cover, a bit pricey, but it looks and fits very nice on the car.
I have an 'R' cover that I picked up from a forum member here for much less than the dealer would have charged.

Yes, it’s the one with stripes and Shelby script. As stated, it is a great indoor cover, and good for use when parking and covering your cars during Mustang Week while staying at a hotel.

Fits the car well, just wish there were two different covers one with stripes and one with out. I’m weird like that

I have one and think it is too rough for the paint. Meaning - risk of micro scratches as I have a black car. I ordered a softer one.

Once you get your car condom (PPF) on you wont have to worry about this!

For indoor I bought a very soft one, fits like a glove, the factory one felt a little rough.

I put mine on the car when it is clean and I do not plan to drive it soon. Always in the garage so I cannot speak to outdoor use. Definitely has done its job limiting incidental contact while sitting in the garage tho. Having 4 kids I always feel better about it being covered...even tho my wife is pretty dang vigilant about keeping them outta the garage (God Bless her).

I am simply looking for an indoor, dust barrier when it’s gonna sit clean for a few days.

I don't care for the factory car cover, I prefer something softer and nicer for my cars. I custom ordered this one for my R (this is the cover on my non-R so it's a little baggy due to the smaller splitter and spoiler).
