Whipple warranty 3/36k

Is it worth it? Anyone had to use it? Just sent my card to charter and they’re asking for $495 bucks.

My only hesitation is the required maintenance plan. I’m not sure how anal they are about it.

They want receipts of oil changes every 3 months or 3k miles.

1. I like to change my own oil and it doesn’t seem like they like that as they want shop to do it.
2. My car will sit in the garage for like 4-5 months over winter. Does that mean I have to wake it up and get oil changes done?

The 3000 mile / 3 month oil changes is ridiculous.

I change Full synthetic at 5000 miles.

I'm slapping a whipple on my 2018 in about 30 days or so and plan on getting the warranty whipped offers. It may be silly but I'll sleep a little better.

Whipple offers the 3/36 warranty upon purchase of their kit? What are the rules behind the install; Ford dealership or a shop only they would authorize certified to complete the install in an individuals area/location in any state?

ASE certified technician has to install it. Have to mail a warranty card in with $500. Then afterwards you have to change your oil at the shop every 3k miles or 3 months whichever comes first. That last part is my only real beef with it.

Edelbrock doesn't charge extra for their warranty

Well some news for you guys. The 3/36 warranty replaces manufacturers warranty. In my instance the car was bought in May 2015 so technically I have 2 months left even with Whipple warranty. The warranty wouldn’t be worth it unless you were putting a kit on a brand new car you just bought.

Can anyone confirm the warranty actually replaces a blown engine? Or is it just on defective Whipple components?

that's the link to warranty... covers engine up to $5,000

It looks like any form of racing will void the warranty.The $995 may be better spent on a billet OPG/CS upgrade "warranty ".
