Harry and I were talking today and trying to figure out where Ford is at with R models for 2018. I think someone here has JR109, but that's the highest I've seen so far.

Considering that Ford only built JR### cars in October '17 so far, that's a fair amount of cars to move out the door.

If we keep this thread going long enough, maybe we'll get a good idea come summer as to the total number of R-models built for this year.

So, if you have an '18 R, what's your chassis number?

Good question. And I was thinking earlier today about what the highest HR # was? Not sure if we've figured that one out yet or not.

I have an extra spring in my step now that I can see my car in COTUS also. :headbang:

I think HR942. That data should be out soon, though.

Let's see if anyone can beat JR109.

We'll have to watch the number string out as production starts back up, but I know Ford could easily pass 400 R's per week through the plant if they had all the parts available and a need to do it.
Will keep an eye on the reports.

And with a blend date of 10/19/17.... could mean they built 200 or so during the first part of '18 R production before the winter shutdown.

Hmmmmm - keep 'em coming!
It shows it was in production on 11/30/17 and finished 12/20/17, so it may be the last of them for 2017?

Great catch - shows they were producing them pretty late in the season, but you're probably right.... that would have likely been near the tail end of the winter hiatus.

This may, may not be helpful in trying to figure out R production for the current MY. At any rate the #'s are fun to look at.

15' MY..... 137 GT 350's of which 37 were R's = 27%

16'MY..... 6167 GT 350's of which 526 were R's =8%

17'MY.....???? GT 350's of which 942? were R's =??

Someone can plug in a # for 17'MY.

Try to find # for 18"MY to date for GT 350's & see where the percentage is at.

Was there not a bulletin release for 18'MY at some point? AHH but can't forget about 17's added production! What a game!LOL

Rex, you kindly provided the first 3 model year production numbers so I will provide the production numbers for the 2017MY.

17'MY ...... 7115 GT350's of which 942 were R's = 13%

18'MY is anyone's guess at this stage of the game other than knowing that the base R's for 2018MY will be somewhat reduced from previous years.

Can anyone confirm the number of base R's built for the 2016 and 2017 MY's as the numbers that I have are 54 for each MY but don't believe that these numbers are accurate?

Could be way off but my gut feeling is that there will only be ~30 Base R's built for North America for 2018 with the bulk of these cars staying in the U.S. and with 2 or 3 cars going to Canada.

;)

Harry, I have 6 base cars for 15' being 16% of R production, .044% of total production.

64 base for 16' being 12% of R's & .085% of total.

Sounds like there is a scandal sheet coming soon for 17'. Where did you find 17's #'s?

As you mentioned there were 6 base R models for the 2015MY with Chassis #1 being a Base car and it came in Oxford White with Black OTT stripes.

I believe Chassis #1 car was sold/given to one of the Ford family members.

Appreciate the update on the 2016 Base R's as I didn't think that my production numbers were correct.

The 2017 production numbers that I provided earlier came directly from Ford therefore suggest that they are accurate.

Having said that I was not able to obtain any breakdown for the various models, colors, stripes, etc. and expect us to all have those numbers sometime later this year.

;)

Rex, not in a position to post actual 920A Base R model numbers for the 2017MY but when they officially come out I would suggest that the numbers may surprise a lot of people.
