I can't imaging any reason why it wouldn't work, but there is an easy way to test it. Just go out and bump it softly.

The 7500 worked. The 7800 setting is where I had the problem.
The 6R80 as it gets older, is more likely to have a hard time completing a shift for various reasons. Not sure if the limiter is implemented in both engine control and transmission control, but it appears it is only in trans as the motor spooled well past 7800 when the trans failed the 2-3 shift in sport mode.
Heard from another guy that thinks this is what I experienced as there may be some other fringe cases where people found no rev limiter.

Looking for fail safe stand alone separate electronics to detect rpm and then implement an injector cut. Anyone know how to source the OEM electronics connectors? Would love to just make a setup that plugs inline between a coil pack and the TB connector, or maybe inline between injectors to shut them down.
