Recently turned my car up to 15psi with the 18' Intake and new gen2 6266 BB turbos and obviously after a night at the track the trans has had enough... After my last pass trans fluid started coming out of the bell housing and I limped it home..(15miles) didnt realize it was actually bleeding bad. Obvious issues with converter lock up and some surging/bucking and weird vibrations during cruising back to my house. Have it on the lift now not sure if the big torque from the turbos has cooked the 4C converter, clutches or what but there is definitely metal in the fluid. Going to pull it off this week but wondering what I cooked.

You using a transbrake? Keep going back and forth about throwing it on mine but worry bout he extra wear and tear.

Also wonder about the 4c. Know that’s not the converter circle d recommends for tt .

Chase,
Man I'm sorry to hear this. You were having a great night at the track kicking 'A" and taking names. I hope it's not as bad as it sounds.

Found some carnage.. front pump seal and bushing all mangled up, not sure what caused it.. sending out the converter to Circle D and trans getting built.

thats a rough looking beating

not a common failure; that's for sure, i suspect you had something a little out of tolerance to cause that kinda run out.

let us know what else you find during your diagnosis

When installed converter did you measure the spacing from flywheel?

Damn, sorry to see that. I just had the oil pump in my 6R80 go. At least I'm not the only one with an unusual 6R80 failure.

Yep 1/8" per Circle D! It was on the car and abused often for 8 months..

damn. Usually that's the #1 cause of pump issues. Hopefully nothing else is tore up.

I just noticed this thread. I had the same failure on my 2015 with hellion lowmount. Brett Lasala is modifying my pump to install the old style roller bearing which helps with this issue. Shaun from AED said the flexplate can cause it as well and the aftermarket flexplate will fix this. How long were you in the transbrake? Did you use a bumpbox?
