Basically my dealer said they won't cover it; due to me having my car lowered, however, I was wondering if I should try another dealer in the morning or if you guys think it's a lost cause. The clips only broke on one side, and it looks kinda funky sticking out.

Just an update, took it to three different dealers and all told me the same thing - The clips are attached to the bumper and require a brand new bumper! None will warranty the work, though, because they said it probably happened from scraping too hard on something.

Well they're probably right.

If you can look at the bumper yourself and see that the molded tab of the bumper is still there you can get what you need for just a few bucks.

If it’s the tabs that are attached and part of the bumper, you can “remake” tabs with JB Weld plastic. They will be strong as New. May save you a bunch over the cost of a new bumper.

Pic might be helpful...

This just happened on mine, took it to my dealer, they took photos and sent them off to Ford. Ford provided a conditional approval, once they remove the bumper they need to take photos to prove there was no collision. There was another Mustang at my dealer in for the same issue and it was warranty approved, so I'm not too worried.

I’m looking at all my options now, thanks for all the help!

Here’s an imgur album of the tabs broken. I think I might go the 3M tape way.

they have the right idea with the ball stud, what would be ideal is to bond a plastic receiver to the inside of the bumper cover so it snaps over the ball end of the stud. wouldn't be able to tell from the outside and bumper cover would still be removable for service
