Australia....the only option is Recaro's. All other Bullitt features are standard.

Shadow Black not available.

Is there no Car Cover offered in Australia?

For Canada, the options are Recaros and car cover. Everything else is included.

Car cover hasn't been mentioned, but we're still in the early days. No-one here has a 2018 model Mustang, they're yet to be delivered to dealers!!

So would you get the recaros as an option?
they seem to generate mixed reviews but I conclude they seem to be less popular with larger males say greater than 100kgs ( 200lbs)
Would welcome anybody's thoughts on this issue
Many thks

It is really a matter of personal preference.

I've had a few cars with Recaro, Corbeau, etc., seats and they do a great job of holding you snugly in place even when the driving gets very spirited. I'd say the pluses and minuses are as follows:

Plus
  • snug cocoon feeling
  • keeps you well placed with very little lateral shifting during spirited cornering
  • very comfortable if you fit

Minus
  • snug cocoon feeling - not everyone's cup of tea
  • ability to change positions is significantly restricted to minor adjustments/shifts
  • You lose heated/cooled seats
  • You lose power seat function
  • You lose the memory function

Everyone places a different value/weighting on these features. I've ordered the Recaros because a) the car won't be my only car and b) I like Recaros.

My Bullitt will not be a my daily driver, so I ordered the Recaro's, for a few reasons.
1. Always admired them, but never had them.
2. They look really cool in the Bullitt with the green stitching, and it is a really cool car.
3. I think they will only enhance the value of the car.
4. I do like winding roads (lot of them in this neck of the woods).

If on the other hand it was going to be a daily driver, I would have stayed with the stock seats to have the heated/cooling and memory function.

Forgot about the memory function Brett. Edited my post above to include that.

Which part of BC are you in? I lived in Vancouver and Prince George, but have been to a good amount of the province.

The only problem with all of this is keeping one's license. ;-)

I just picked up a speeding ticket in the US on Friday. I've been pretty lucky the past several years, and this one wasn't as bad as it could have been as the officer adjusted my "ticketed" speed significantly so that I wouldn't have to travel back down there to do a court date. No fun at all, but could have been much worse.

Thks for your comments
My Bullitt will be my daily driver but so far our cars haven't had the memory seat option anyway and luckily our climate is not so extreme that the heating/cooling function is a dealbreaker.
The cooling aspect has been nice on some summer days but the heating certainly is not important

I'll also add that the Recaros are a little bit firmer too. Again, for a weekend car, Recaros are probably the way to go for most. For a daily/road trip car, regular seats are great, you get the cool unique seat pattern, and they're free!

I wouldn't let the cooling portion of the heated/cooled seats be a factor in anyone's decision since only half the seats coll anyway. (upper portion doesn't cool worth a damn)

That used to be the case but I think they improved that. In the 2018 I drove last week, both the back and bottom got nice and cold.

Live in Richmond. Son (grandson) live in Penticton, so done the Hope/Princeton (Hwy3) lots. Great road lots of variety, really tight twisties and long fast corners with long straits for passing. The other road I will do as soon as I get the car, is hwy 5A (old hwy before Coquihalla Hwy 5) between Merritt and Kamloops. Very little traffic and a stunning drive...Lunch in Kamloops then back via the Fraser Canyon. Will probably also do lunch in Whistler, although as nice as that drive is, too much traffic to really enjoy it.

Been very lucky with the tickets the past few years, not been a priority of the RCMP. But noticed a few more recently, so given I won't likely get cut any slack driving the Bullitt, picked up an Escort Max 360. Better to be informed. I used to have a Whistler Radar detector that saved me a few time on the Coquihalla. I drove through a radar trap on 3A a couple of months ago. When I looked down, I was doing 122kph in a 100kph zone, and he ignored me. I think in the Bullitt he would have pulled me over.
