That's terrible luck, sir. Sorry to see this.
Thank you, hoping my luck gets better after this lol

Got a bumper pre-painted for $450 shipped. Got a new wheel well liner from Ford with all the clips and pins for $170. New 5.0 badge to put on the repaired fender for $25.

The fender dent I'll be bringing to a body shop, they will have to straighten out and repaint the fender. They assured me it would match well. $350 for that, if they have to blend the paint into the door it'll be $500. 1-2 day timeframe.

Just waiting on the invoice from MAK for the new air filter and I'll have everything by the weekend hopefully.

Removed my broken bumper and stripped all the parts off in anticipation for my new bumper to arrive tomorrow. Went pretty smoothly actually.

After a long drawn out story finally got my car back up and running.

Pre-painted bumper that I got didnt match very well. Ended up getting a bumper through Ford and having a body shop do the bumper and fender repair at the same time. Came out very good and the paint matches just about perfectly.

Came home, reinstalled my ALP sensors on the front and replaced my damaged and filthy air filter. Took it for a drive and damn does the 18 manifold really open up after 6k!

Did the blower do that to the filter??
Haha no way, it's not pulling that much air. It got mangled when I hit the road debris. Whatever it was (some kind of metal hubcap or something) got caught up in my wheel well, ripped out the liner, dented the fender and mangled the filter after wrecking the bumper.

I don't know how it didnt damage my wheel, but I'm glad it didnt.

On a side note, after looking over logs my timing is hitting 20* but then tapered down to 16* after 7k rpms. Lund agreed it needed more meth to keep up at 20* to redline so I went ahead and made arrangements to add a second meth nozzle to my setup. Currently running a 12GPH so I will probably try a 10GPH with a 7GPH combination since I already have those nozzles on hand. DevilsOwn nozzle estimator says 16.5GPH recommended for my setup.

Broke my 6R80 for the 3rd time today... I'm about ready to drive the car off a cliff.

Just got it back 2-3 weeks ago from JPC (minus a week it spent at the body shop) and today while just cruising it started making squealing and grinding noises from the trans. Car randomly loses power and almost dies, trying to accelerate moderately hard results in the converter unlocking and revs flying but not going anywhere. I think the converter is the problem, the squealing noise sounds like something rubbing that is rotating at a high speed and it is mostly independent from vehicle speed.

Transmission problems are starting to take the fun out of this car.

She did look pretty though right before the drive that it broke on lol

Thank you, I'm hoping it's a quicker turnaround time this time, and that it's warrantied somehow. I know there's never a warranty with racing parts but 2 weeks come on... it's gotta be something they did.

The 6R80 is a solid trans for most but apparently I got a lemon lol.

Gutted for you mate! That really sucks :(

On the other hand, fancy being a guinea pig for a 10R80 retrofit?

If I hadn't sunk all this money into this 6R80 I would probably go for that. At this point though I'm out of money and need to fix this one and cut my losses. I'm hoping this will be warrantied since it's been only a couple weeks.

Good luck man. I know how it feels with a run of bad luck like that when all you want to do is enjoy the car. Keep at it. Just another hurdle along the modding road. Won't be long and you'll be up and running again.
