I’m sure the answer is yes, but just incase (before I order a set), can anyone confirm ( SteedaTech or tj@steeda for example) if the Steeda Billet Rear Shock Mounts will work on a MY18 equipped with Magnaride.

I guess the standard version to fit OEM Shocks are the ones to go for if so

Thanks all

You are correct use the OEM version.
Thank you,

Why do you see needing this MrWolf, just for my understanding.

Thanks
M
Further improves the ride.

Heard a lot of good things about these. Quite a few on the UK have had these done. The additional 0.25” wheel clearance doesn’t hurt either

Thanks!
I assume they make the shocks "more bolted" to the car? Similar to changing bushings/engine mounts etc to stiffer ones.
No, it removes the bushing in the mount, replaces it with a bearing that allows the shock to articulate without binding up a bushing. It makes the ride more supple and makes the rear less bouncy.

Can anyone else confirm I'll be getting more wheel gap?? I have these waiting to be installed when warmer weather arrives and I don't need more gap.

No no, inboard clearance between the tire/wheel and the shock mount. Not vertical wheel gap. It doesn't change ride height or any other geometry like that.

As this (sorry, should have been more specific - good wheel space)

I am the first and only I believe to put these on a GT350. The kits from Steeda did not work as the mag ride strut uses a m11 nut. I have a thread on it.

You also have to depin the harness to get the nut on and off

It would be strange to me that the struts are different on the 18s

That’s interesting.

Can SteedaTech confirm this and if anything different needs to be done with the MY18 GTs equipped with Magneride (based on earlier reply, I thought it would not be a problem).

xXANCHORMONXx, is correct, I apologize it does take a 11mm nut, which is unusual.

If we get a high demand for this application we will make the 11 mm nut.

On another note, to remove the wiring from the harness plug to slip the wires through the nut is another concern that the average person would have difficulty doing.

Thank you,

Steeda Tech

Well I would definitely be up for one if you make it.

Anyone who has an 18 with Magneride with any sense will also want one

Also SteedaTech, might be worth updating your shop description (and info to other suppliers) so others with MY18 and Magneride know that this is not for them (yet!) and buy it (which I almost did)
