I was doing some browsing recently and saw that Lethal have a "new" (I presume) pump available. Made by Deatschworks, 415 L/ph.
Anyone have any further info on this?
It's cheaper than a BAP so I'm kinda curious. Seems like it might be a better option

Yes they are rated at pushing 800 rwhp e-85 cars with a bap and 1000 rwhp race gasoline cars. 2 ways to hook it up. Remove your stock hat exchange the pump for your stock one, or go with Mak Performance's complete stock hat with pump already installed for a quick swap. The pump alone is $259, the Mak Performance complete hat with the pump already mounted is $544...i intend to go one of these routes because i want more fuel delivery without having to install a complete fuel system. i cant justify spending $1500 plus for a fuel system especially when i'm staying with gasoline ...not to mention the install charges and a dyno tune for e-85...

Would it be cheaper to just buy the DW400 and an OEM pump and DIY?
I've never done an in-tank pump before so really have no idea what to expect.
I watched a video on YT and these guys were having to grind bits off the OEM pump (not mustang). looked like something I'd be wanting to spend some time on, kinda tricky when it's your DD.

Well its cheaper to just buy the pump and replace the stock pump with it, if you know what your doing. The hat and pump kit is for those of us who have never done it before. Its a swap. Just plug the wires up mount it and your done!!

no tune needed for the larger pump to control FPDC or anything? I know this was an issue with the older SN95s but have not played with the pumps on a S550

I just assumed a tune was a given. Surely the extra pressure would influence the injector flow?

It shouldn't, however I also don't think anyone has done any in depth testing either way.

yes but not true in these cars. The basket has a pressure release valve that opens at I think 58 PSI so you wont up your pressure just your flow of fuel when you are at higher RPMs. In the older mustangs you had a table in the computer that you would have to adjust for a larger fuel pump but it did have some SWAG room. Stock pump was about 90LPH you could run a single Cobra pump at I think 165LPH without a tune because the swag room could compensate but more than that you would need a tune.

so my question is with the pressure release valve in mind do we need a tune for a larger pump? I would think it would just release excess pressure back into the tank as is should but if our flow went low due to E85 and large injectors or in my case the Whipple and 72Lb DW injectors at high RPMs could i just drop the pump in and go?

Do you know what type of lines come with the pump. Are they safe for submersion in e85?
